An arrest has been made after man in his 40s was taken to hospital when “sprayed with a chemical” substance in Bromley.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Chatterton Road in Bromley on Wednesday (May 29) at around 4:03pm, where a group of men allegedly chased a man from a pub.
A man in his 40s was treated by paramedics for an eye injury after being sprayed with a chemical substance in the eyes.
He was taken to hospital and police have confirmed that his injuries are not life-threatening.
London Fire Bridge confirmed that a number of resources were sent to the scene including two fire engines with ten firefighters in attendance from Hornchurch and Barking fire stations.
London Ambulance dispatched members of the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to the scene along with a number of other resources.
A crime scene was put in place whilst investigations were underway and enquiries into the incident continue.
The Metropolitan Police has since confirmed that one person has been arrested.
