A fire under a bridge on a busy road in Abbey Wood which led to closures is under investigation.
Police and fire crews were called to the fire in Wilton Road at around 1:32pm on Monday (May 27).
A road closure was put in place whilst fire crews worked at the scene.
Building materials and other items were partially damaged by the fire.
There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Two fire engines and around ten firefighters were called to a fire under a bridge on Wilton Road in Abbey Wood.
“A range of building materials and other items were partially damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade was called at 1332 and the fire was under control by 1419. Crews from Plumstead Fire Station attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 13:37hrs on Monday, 27 May police were called to reports of a fire at Harrow Manor Way.
“Road closures were established to allow firefighters to access the scene.
“There were no reported injuries and no arrests.”
