An update has been issued on the condition of a woman who was taken to hospital after a stabbing in New Cross.
Police were called to Parkfield Road near Lewisham Way shortly before 9am yesterday (Friday, May 24).
At the scene, a woman in her 30s was found to be injured.
She was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where her condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life changing.
No arrests have been made as police enquires continue.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “On Friday, 24 May police were called to Lewisham Way at around 09:00hrs to reports of a stabbing.
“Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from the London Ambulance Service who treated a woman in her 30s for stab injuries.
“The woman was taken to a near-by hospital where her condition was later assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
“At this early stage, there have been no arrests.
“Officers are currently carrying out fast-time enquiries into the circumstances.
“If you have any information about the incident then please come forward to police quoting CAD1891/24MAY24.”
