This weekend several London Overground services in south London are set to be affected by engineering works.
This weekend marks the second bank holiday this May, with many people preparing trips to mark the long weekend.
This weekend there are a number of London Overground changes affecting travel in and around south London, with buses set to replace some services over the bank holiday weekend.
Here’s everything you need to know:
No services running between Sydenham and West Croydon
When? Sunday, May 26
On Sunday, no services will run between Sydenham and West Croydon, with a bus replacement service set to run between Crystal Palace and West Croydon via Norwood Junction.
South London stations affected:
- Sydenham
- Penge West
- Anerley
- Norwood Junction
- West Croydon
No services between Gospel Oak and Richmond or Shepherds Bush via West Hampstead
When? Sunday, May 25
This weekend no services will run between Gospel Oak and Richmond or Shepherds Bush which will also affect District Line services between Turnham Green and Richmond.

- Kew Gardens
- Richmond
Alternative travel on Sunday
TFL has advised customers that a replacement bus service will run calling at stations between Willesden Junction and Richmond.

No late night London Overground service between New Cross Gate and West Croydon / or Crystal Palace
When? May 27 – Thursday, May 30
From May 27 until May 30, there will be no London Overground services between New Cross Gate and West Croydon or Crystal Palace after 11pm.
Last running trains:
- Highbury & Islington to Crystal Palace 10:47pm
- Crystal Palace to Highbury & Islington 11:17pm
- Highbury & Islington to West Croydon 10:17pm
- West Croydon to Highbury & Islington 11:16pm

Alternative travel
TFL has advised that a rail replacement bus service will run between Monday and Wednesday.
A bus service for Crystal Palace will depart London Bridge at 11:58pm calling at the following stations:
- New Cross Gate (12:08am)
- Brockley
- Honor Oak Park
- Forest Hill
- Sydenham (12:27am)
- Crystal Palace (12:33am)
- Gipsy Hill
- West Norwood
- Tulse Hill
- Streatham Hill (Arriving 12:58am)
A bus service for East Croydon will depart London Bridge at 12:35am calling at the following stations:
- New Cross Gate (12:50am)
- Brockley
- Honor Oak Park
- Forest Hill
- Sydenham (1:08am)
- Norwood Junction (1:15am)
- East Croydon (Arriving 1:27am)
There will also be a return bus from Crystal Palace departing at 11:59pm, calling at all stations to London Bridge via New Cross Gate.
TFL has also advised that customers can travel on local bus or tram routes via any reasonable routes to complete their journeys.
