A person has been brought to safety after an incident on the Dartford Crossing.
Concerns for the welfare of a person were raised at Queen Elizabeth II Bridge at 12.25pm yesterday (May 22).
All traffic was held as the incident was dealt with which caused long delays and three miles of congestion.
Officers were called to the scene and brought the person to safety.
The bridge reopened at around 2.30pm and all traffic restrictions have since returned to normal.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “An incident on the Dartford Crossing has now been resolved.
“We had been called to concerns for someone on the bridge shortly after 12.25pm.
“Officers attended and brought them to safety. The road is now reopening.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
