A man from Plumstead has been charged with possessing an “offensive weapon” and a “controlled drug”.
Police were called to Swingate Lane on Friday, May 17 at around 1.15pm to reports of men in possession of weapons.
Officers attended and found a man in his 20s at the scene, alleged to be Destiny Oji, 22.
Ojo, of Warland Road, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court and was bailed.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “A man has been charged following an incident on Swingate Lane, SE18 on Friday, 17 May.
“Destiny Ojo (11.02.03) of Warland Road, SE18 was charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of a controlled drug.
“He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court and was bailed by the court.
“Police were called at around 13:15hrs on Friday, 17 May to reports of men in possession of weapons on Swingate Lane, SE18.
“Officers attended and found a man, aged in his 20s, at the location. He was later charged as above.”
