A man has been taken to hospital after an incident on the A20 in Sidcup.

Concerns for the welfare of a man sitting on the central reservation were raised near Crittalls Corner just after 1pm yesterday (May 20).

Officers attended and road closures were put in place while the man was brought to safety.

He was left in the care of paramedics from London Ambulance Service and was taken to hospital.

The road has since re-opened. 

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 13:04hrs on Monday, 20 May to concerns for the welfare of a man sitting on the central reservation on the A20 in Chistlehurst.

“Officers attended and closed the road while they brought the man to safety. He was left in the care of paramedics from London Ambulance Service and was taken to hospital.

“The road has since re-opened.”
