A suspect has been charged after a 17-year-old girl was raped in Gravesend.

The incident occurred on Manor Road, between midnight and 12.45am on May 13.

A 17-year-old girl claims she walking in the area when she was approached by a car containing four men she did know.

She later reported to police that one man sexually assaulted her.

Harjeet Singh, 26, was arrested on May 17 and charged with rape and sexual assault by touching.

Mr Singh appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Saturday, May 18 and was remanded pending a further hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on Monday, June 17.
