A man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary in South Norwood.
Police were called to Portland Road in South Norwood at around 4am yesterday (May 16) to a burglary.
A number of people were seen fleeing the scene.
Officers arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession with intent to suppy drugs.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called shortly before 04:00hrs on Thursday, 16 May to Portland Road, SE25 following reports of a burglary.
“Officers attended and a number of people were seen to flee the scene.
“A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession with intent to supply drugs.
“Enquiries continue.”
