Six south London schools, teachers and trusts are in the running for the UK's most prestigious education awards.
The Tes Schools Awards aim to celebrate the achievements of people and schools across all education sectors.
The independent and state schools shortlisted have the chance to gain national recognition for their hard work and successes during the 2022/23 academic year.
Among the nominees for the south London area are schools such as Kingsdale Foundation School in Dulwich - up for three awards - and Wimbledon High School GDST, in the running for the Independent Senior School of the Year prize.
Individuals include Dr Joe Spence from Dulwich College, who has been shortlisted in the Headteacher of the Year category for independent schools,
London South East Academies Trust - which oversees Warren Road Primary School in Orpington and Bexley Music group - was also shortlisted for the Trust Team of the Year (nine schools or less) award.
The awards are run by education sector magazine Tes - formerly the Times Educational Supplement - and the independent judging panel will select the winners, who will be announced at a gala dinner at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Friday, June 21.
Categories for the awards are extensive and cover every area of school life.
They include the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Setting of the Year, Excellence in Creative Arts, Inclusive School of the Year, and Specialist Provision School Leader of the Year among others.
