AT THE well-attended August meeting members were reminded of the opportunity to visit Lambeth Palace, hear about sightings of big cats in Kent, go on a visual trail of Burma to Borneo, play whist and enjoy Christmas crafts.
Dennis Chambers spoke about Kent Ghosts and how villages had the reputation of being haunted and the difficulty in deciding between fact and fiction.
The September meeting is the Autumn Show, which will have displays of produce, art and craft, fruit and vegetables and baking The speaker for the evening will be Jack Dean - Fingerprints and Murder, September 9, 7.30 pm Memorial Hall, Lewis Road, Istead Rise.
