The death of a man is being treated as non-suspicious after a body was found at a park in Abbey Wood.
The discovery was made by police at Lesnes Park just after 12.45pm yesterday (April 22).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and a man, in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been notified.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed his death is not being treated as suspicious.
The full statement from Metropolitan Police says: “At around 12:43hrs on Monday, 22 April, police were called to reports of an unresponsive man in Lesnes Park, SE2.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and a man, aged in his 40s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“The next of kin has been notified.
“The death is being treated as unexpected but is not being treated as suspicious.”
