A man’s body was found in Abbey Wood today.
Police were called to Lesnes Park at 12.43pm today (April 22) alongside London Ambulance Service.
A man in his 40s was found unresponsive and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s family has been informed.
Police say his death is unexpected, but not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police: “At around 12:43hrs on Monday, 22 April, police were called to reports of an unresponsive man in Lesnes Park, SE2.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and a man, aged in his 40s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“The next of kin has been notified.
“The death is being treated as unexpected but is not being treated as suspicious.”
