A suspected burglar has been charged after two homes were broken into in Dartford.
In the early hours of Wednesday, April 17, 2024, a burglary was reported in Hall Road where electrical items were stolen along with children’s passports.
Shortly after this a house in nearby Joyce Green Lane was broken into where a car was stolen along with a laptop and cash.
Officers attended and a man was arrested at around 11am.
Items from the first burglary were also recovered and handed back to the victim.
Following enquiries Sam Hawkins, 37, of Pembroke Road, Erith, was charged with two counts of burglary.
He is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday April 18.
