An elderly woman is in a serious condition in hospital after a crash in Northfleet.
A man from Lewisham has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drugs after the incident.
At around midday on Sunday (April 14) a black Mercedes A-Class was involved in a collision with a red Citroen C3 on the London Road in Northfleet.
The driver of the Citroen, a woman in her 70s, was rushed to a hospital in London where she remains in a serious condition.
The Mercedes driver, a 25-year-old man from Lewisham, was arrested and has since been bailed to return to the police station pending further investigation.
Investigators from Kent Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles beforehand to come forward.
