THE art of flower arranging as demonstrated by Mrs. Jean Lis, at the July meeting was much enjoyed by members, especially as the arrangements (and some she had made earlier) were the evening raffle prizes.
There were still tickets available for the Federations ongoing 90th Anniversary celebrations, with an activity day at Hope Hill on offer, plus the chance to participate in some great day schools and competitions.
Istead Rise representing Thameside District was thrilled to learn that they had won 2nd prize in the Kent County Show competition at Detling; depicting life in your WI.
The garden party arranged for members, partners and friends proved a very nice social afternoon, the sun shone and the strawberries and cream were delicious.
