The Dartford Tunnel has closed due to a multi-vehicle crash which is causing severe delays in the area.
The incident happened on the A282 approaching the Dartford East Tunnel at around 2pm today (April 4).
National Highways (@HighwaysSEAST) tweeted on X (formally known as Twitter) that closures were put in place between junction 1b and the tunnel.
At just before 2.30pm, it confirmed all closures were lifted and the vehicles were recovered from the scene.
All lanes and the east tunnel have been reopened with delays of up to 60 minutes on approach.
We have contacted Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance for further information.
Full AA maps statement says: “Severe delays due to earlier crash on M25 Dartford Tunnel anticlockwise from J1A A206 (Dartford) to J31 A1306 (Lakeside / Purfleet).
“Congestion to J3 (M20 Swanley interchange). Travel time is around 30 minute.”
