Thrill-seekers will be able to collect air miles by riding a new record-breaking rollercoaster at Thorpe Park.
This adrenaline-pumping ride, named Hyperia, is the UK's tallest and fastest, standing at a massive 236ft tall and reaching speeds of more than 80mph.
Starting from this spring, riders who brave the rollercoaster at Thorpe Park will be able to collect air miles due to its height and weightlessness.
This makes Hyperia not just an adrenaline-fuelled 'hypercoaster', but also a reward system for the fearless who dare to ride it.
The park intends to make collecting air miles a simple process.
Once riders disembark, they only need to scan their phones at a dedicated 'post-flight' hub at the base of the coaster.
Blair Lines, head of flights at Thorpe Park, said: "We were over the moon to receive the news that riding Hyperia can be included within air miles schemes.
"To be launching the UK’s tallest, fastest and most weightless ride here at Thorpe Park in 2024 has been years in the making, but to have this additional accolade has set sights soaring for our latest attraction.
"There’s no stopping Hyperia and we are ecstatic to welcome passengers on board, this Spring."
Those eager to be among the first onboard Hyperia this spring can now secure tickets, hotel stays or annual passes.
Thorpe Park is open for visitors from Saturday, March 23 until Sunday, November 3, 2024.
Hyperia is set to welcome its first riders at some point this spring, although there is no exact opening date yet.
