A man who has been charged with the murder of a 31-year-old woman in Hither Green has been named for the first time by the Metropolitan Police.

 Joshua Michals, 24, of Deals Gateway, was charged on Friday, 22 March 22 and will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court today (Saturday).

An investigation was launched after police were called just before 11.15pm on Wednesday, March 20 to reports of a stabbing at an address in Manor Park.

Emergency services attended and forced entry to the address.

A 31-year-old woman was found injured inside.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, she died at the scene a short time later.

Her next of kin have been informed and they will be supported by family liaison officers.

Formal identification has not yet taken place.
