A popular Poundland store in Penge has closed due to unplanned maintenance works.
The store, located on 143-151 Penge High Street, will be closed whilst works are carried out.
A spokesperson for Poundland said it is “not sure” when the store will reopen, but “hopefully soon”.
“Obviously Poundland is sorry for the inconvenience”, the spokesperson added.
Poundland is a discount retail store chain offering a variety of products including household items, kitchenware, toys, stationery, snacks, and seasonal goods, appealing to budget-conscious shoppers.
With over 850 stores across the UK and Europe, it has become a popular destination for bargain hunters seeking everyday essentials or novelty items without breaking the bank.
