Rooftop Film Club is returning to Peckham and Stratford

London's original outdoor cinema, set in two stunning rooftop locations, is preparing to welcome film lovers back for the summer season.

The cinema will open its doors at Roof East, Stratford on April 18, and at Peckham's Bussey Building on April 25.

This outdoor cinema experience promises to offer cult classics and new releases with views of London's skyline.

The opening week of the new season is set to have the theme of 'rooftop romance' at both these locations.

At Stratford, movies such as About Time, 10 Things I Hate About You, Past Lives, and Notting Hill are lined up for screening.

The Peckham location will feature classics like La La Land and Clueless alongside Oscar nominee Past Lives and gripping story, All of Us Strangers, featuring Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott.

Founder of Rooftop Film Club, Gerry Cottle Jnr said: "As we emerge from our winter cocoons, we’re all looking for ways to have some social fun outdoors with friends and families.

"Rooftop Film Club is for everyone - from film buffs to first timers - and we can’t wait to welcome Londoners back to Peckham and Stratford this season."

Tickets are on sale now at rooftopfilmclub.com, with adults' tickets starting at just £12.95, and an extra early bird offer until March 31.

Movie fans not only get to enjoy films but can also look forward to lots of food and drink options at both locations.

This includes imaginative cocktails at Peckham or traditional Turkish cuisine at Stratford.

A new concept for this year is the silent disco party, organised in partnership with 'party engineers,' House of Dinosaur.

The first event will take place on Bank Holiday Sunday (May 26), with a high-school rom-com theme based on 10 Things I Hate About You.

Rooftop Film Club is also introducing a monthly party brunch at Bussey Rooftop Bar starting from May.

The venue is supporting Medicinema, a charity that provides cinema experiences inside hospitals to help the emotional, physical, and mental health of patients.

Cottle Jnr said: "We believe everybody should be able to enjoy the magic of the silver screen and so our partnership with Medicinema, who provide cinema experiences inside hospitals to support the emotional, physical and mental health of patients, holds a special place in our hearts."

The upcoming charity screening of Anyone But You on May 6 at Peckham will see all profits from ticket sales donated to Medicinema.
