A man has been attacked by a group of men with baseball bats just before a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Thamesmead.
Officers were called to the attack in Seacourt Road at around 12.30pm today (March 13) and a man was found uninjured.
Five minutes later at 12.35pm, police were called to Southmere Drive by London Ambulance Service crews.
A boy was found injured with stab wounds and he was taken to hospital for further treatment.
His injuries were later assessed as non life-threatening.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries into the circumstances continue.
A section 60 order has been put into place in certain areas of Thamesmead, Erith, and Abbey Wood.
This means police can stop and search anyone within the area without needing to have reasonable grounds.
It has been in place since 1.30pm today (March 13) and will last until 10pm tomorrow (March 14).
