A MUSIC producer was stabbed to death during a drunken row with his girlfriend, a court heard.
Gaillene Young, aged 36, stabbed Nicholas Venn through the heart during an argument at their home, in Bardsley Lane, Greenwich, on September 3.
Mr Venn, aged 34, was pronounced dead at Lewisham Hospital in the early hours of the morning.
It is understood both he and Young had been drinking heavily before he was attacked.
Young appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday (July 31) where she denied murder, but admitted manslaughter.
Mr Venn, who was known as V Dub and Dubsta, had worked with Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood and had opened his own studio promoting hip-hop in east London in 2000.
He created his own mixes under the names Delvan Posse and Simba Syndicate.
Mr Venn had been a close friend of Stephen Lawrence and after the teenager's murder in 1993, he helped set up tribute events at Greenwich University and worked with anti-racism organisations.
At the time of his death he was teaching DJ skills to youngsters in Greenwich.
The couple had one child together who is now being cared for by Mr Venn's parents.
Judge Giles Forrester was told three psychiatrists had agreed Young was suffering from a personality disorder at the time of the killing.
She was remanded in custody pending sentencing on September 26.
