The Swan has undergone a transformative refresh throughout, including a thorough interior uplift, which comprises brand-new, comfy seating booths and additional TV screens.
The pub, located on West Wickham High Street, reopened its doors to the public on Thursday, February 29, following a £250,000 investment.
In addition to a revamped interior featuring fresh décor, an updated colour scheme, and new flooring, the pub now boasts a brand-new darts board for guests keen on friendly competition.
Outside, the beer garden has undergone a transformation, now adorned with outdoor seating and AstroTurf, offering patrons a delightful spot to savour their favourite drinks in the approaching spring sunshine.
With its relaunch, The Swan introduces an exciting weekly event line-up for the West Wickham community.
From darts on Mondays to games night on Wednesdays, live music every Friday, and a team quiz on Sundays, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
On the second Thursday of each month, The Swan hosts a jam night where guests can groove along to their favourite tunes alongside the pub's talented house band.
Located in historically rich West Wickham, home to the renowned Wickham Court, rumoured to be the site of Henry VIII's proposal to Anne Boleyn, the pub adds to the area's intrigue with tales of underground tunnels connecting to the manor.
Neil Howley, General Manager at The Swan said, “Our team are excited to welcome locals back to The Swan to see the amazing improvements to the pub and of course, enjoy our new weekly events agenda. There’s something for everyone.
“The Swan is a big sports pub and we’re pleased to have refreshed our sports offering both inside the pub and outside through our popular beer garden TV.
“The investment has breathed new life into The Swan and we’re very proud of our new-look pub.”
