CELEBRATIONS for the 125th anniversary for the creation of the boys brigade have been held.
The third Bromley Boys Brigade Company, which is based at Orpington Baptist Church, Station Road, took part in two London events.
Members joined with the rest of the London district to form a bugle band, performing at Chatham Historic Dockyard, Chatham.
The Bromley band led a national parade held at the Guildhall in London in the presence of a number of dignatories including the Chief Commoner of the City of London, John Barker OBE.
For the anniversary the third Bromley company has been raising funds for the charity SMILE international which operates in third world countries.
They raised £350 at a recent car wash and coffee morning.
Company captain, Steve Humphrey, said: "The events were very well attended and supported, It was a great way to mark the anniversary.
"It shows that the brigade is still alive and well."
