Over the years we have loved and lost many pubs in Bromley.
Pubs can be a great place for memories and to spend time with friends and families.
But unfortunately, for various reasons, we’ve had to say goodbye to a lot of them and haven't seen them reopen as of 2024.
So we have made a list of the pubs that once stood in Bromley but have closed their doors.
Beacon Hayes – formerly stood at 18 Farleigh Avenue
Compass – formerly stood at 10 Widmore Road. Closed: January 2016.
Dukes’ Head – formerly stood at 36 Market Square.
Five Bells – formerly stood at 73-75 Bromley Common. Closed: 2009
Forester – formerly stood at 133 High Street. Closed: 1999.
Garden Gate – formerly stood at Bromley Road. Closed: 2006.
Greyhound – formerly stood 205 High Street. Closed: 2006.
The Greyhound later reopened as a Wetherspoon pub under the same name.
Hop & Rye – formerly stood at 54 London Road. Closed: 2019.
Northover – formerly stood at Northover Road. Closed: 1992.
Palace Tavern – formerly stood at 1 Napier Road. Closed: 2005.
Pickhurst – formerly stood at Pickhurst Lane. Closed: 2013.
Rising Sun – formerly stood at Bromley High Street. Closed: 1977.
Rose & Crown – formerly stood 30 Market Square. Closed: 1908.
The Royal Bell – formerly stood at 175 High Street. Closed: 2009.
Teasel – formerly stood at Burnt Ash Lane. Closed: 2005.
White Hart - formerly stood at 106 High Street. Closed: 1960s.
Widmore – formerly stood at 3 Bickley Road. Closed: 2013.
