THERE will be a partial eclipse of the sun today, visible from London.
The moon is expected to cover about 20 per cent of the sun between 9.30am and 11.20am today.
People in Northern Canada, Greenland, the Arctic, Russia, Mongolia and China will see a total eclipse of the sun.
And in Scotland the Moon is expected to cover up to 40 per cent of the sun.
The Royal Observatory, Greenwich is open from 9:15 am today.
Visitors will have the chance to view the eclipse safely through solar telescopes.
And there will also be a live link up with NASA showing the total eclipse.
Remember you should never look directly at the sun - always use a sun filter or project the image onto the ground.
