A SCHEME which helps find jobs for people with learning disabilities has received an extra £35,000 from the council.
Bromley Mencap runs a service called Jobmatch which aims to give independence to people who might not have been able to get work without their support.
The additional funding of £35,000 comes from Bromley Council which will support work such as job coaching, training and support.
The money came from the Community fund that is managed by Bromley councillors to support local projects.
Portfolio holder for adult and community services Councillor Graham Arthur said: "Jobmatch provides an excellent service and I am particularly pleased that as a council we are looking to increase Council work placements."
The additional funding is a one off sum to add to the £87,000 that the council already gives to Jobmatch.
