A brand new Co-op is opening its doors in Welling, creating 18 new jobs for the community.
The shop opens tomorrow (Friday, February 23) in Wrotham Road, Welling and will be open between 7am – 10pm each day.
It will have customer car parking, an ATM and parcel collection services with an InPost Locker available.
The online home delivery of groceries will also be available through Deliveroo and Uber Eats for those wanting a convenient food shop.
The new Co-op will have offer an in-store bakery, chilled beers and wines, ready meals, pizzas, everyday essentials, free-from and plant-based products.
A soft plastic recycle unit will be available in the Welling Co-op to enable the community to recycle their soft plastics. These include crisp packets, bread bags, lids from ready meals and yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers and pet food pouches.
Co-op Store Manager, Michael McDaniels, said: “The whole team is delighted to have had the opportunity to launch Co-op’s newest store.
“Our aim is to operate at the heart of local life, and we’ve worked to develop the range, choice and added services to create a really compelling offer, conveniently.
“This includes a focus on delivering member-value so that the people who own our business, Co-op's member-owners, benefit every time they shop.”
