A Deptford rapper is accused of attempted murder after a shooting in Notting Hill last year.
Drill artist DigDat, real name Nathan Tokosi, is charged with attempted murder as well as firearms offences.
News Shopper reported the charges against Tokosi on Monday (February 19) and the Metropolitan Police have now confirmed further details.
The charges relate to an incident on Monday, November 20, last year on Clydesdale Road in Notting Hill.
Police were called to reports of a shooting at 2.05am.
Specialist firearms officers were among those responding and they found a man in his 20s with gunshot injuries.
He was taken to a west London hospital, where his condition was later assessed as not life-threatening following emergency surgery.
Tokosi, 24, of Grove Street in Deptford, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday (February 19, 2024).
He was remanded in custody.
As well as attempted murder, Tokosi is accused of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life/enable an other to do so.
He is also charged with possessing three 9mm Parabellum calibre bullets for a firearm.
DigDat rose to fame in 2018 with the release of his single Air Force, which peaked at number 20 in the UK Singles Charts.
The rapper has since amassed over 450,000 followers on Instagram and was signed to Sony Music.
