BOYS at a Sidcup school hope to raise more than £250 for charity by enjoying a picnic.
The pupils at Harenc Preparatory School in Rectory Lane, Foots Cray, were taking part in the Big Picnic organised by Macmillan Cancer Support.
As well as a picnic lunch, the school's parent association organised face painting, biscuit decorating and a penalty shoot-out competition.
Headteacher Susan Wooward said: "The day was a happy finale to a busy term."
She added: "The school raises a lot of money for different charities throughout the year, but Macmillan is one of the charities we have supported over several years, and is very close to our heart."
The school is looking forward to more events in September, when it celebrates its 25th birthday.
