AN EIGHT-year old girl went with her friends to watch a leaflet she designed come off the printing press.
Jade Warren of Wickham Common Primary School Gates Green Road, Coney Hall won a competition out of all the pupils at her school to design the images for a leaflet that will educate youngsters about covering up in the sun.
The leaflet will be distributed to all primary schools in the UK, as younger people are the most at risk from sunburn which can cause skin cancer later in life.
Deputy headteacher Rachel Stevenson said: "This has been a fantastic project for all the children to take part in, raising their awareness of safe sun habits, and we are delighted that Jade has won with her drawing."
Jade was accompanied by four friends and her family when she visited the printers to see the leaflet produced.
