AN INDIAN boy who was abandoned at a Sikh temple a year ago has gone missing from his foster home for a second time.
Parvinder Singh came to the United Kingdom from India with his parents in June last year.
He was taken from the airport to the gurdwara where he was left with a friend of his mother and father.
But they never returned to pick him up and he was put into foster care in Bromley.
The boy, who was 12 at the time, went missing from near the Pavilion Leisure Centre, Kentish Way, Bromley after going swimming last August and was found around a week later in Birmingham.
On Sunday (July 27) Parvinder, who now speaks good English, left a note for his foster parents which said he was going to try and find his real parents because he wanted to go back to India.
Detective Inspector Alex Phipp, of Bromley CID, said: "We are very concerned for Parvinder.
"He is clearly upset that he has been unable trace his family and wants to find them.
"However his foster carers and friends are extremely worried about him and want his safe return.
"He is very vulnerable and I am appealing to anyone who thinks they may have seen him, especially on public transport in the hours after 9.30am on Sunday (July 27).
"I would ask anyone who has any information to get in touch immediately.
"It is not right for anyone in the community to look after Parvinder, even with the best of motives, without informing the authorities.
"Parvinder - if you see or hear this appeal please get in touch with your foster family as they are very upset and worried about you."
He is described as Asian, around 4ft 8ins tall, with black hair which is styled in a quiff.
When he was last seen he was wearing a blue T-shirt with a Nike tick on the front, blue jeans and black Nike trainers.
Anyone with any information can call Bromley CID on 020 8284 8859, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
