A POLICE officer had to be cut out of his car after an accident in Plumstead.
The driver was trapped in his BMW after being in collision with a Vauxhall Astra in Burrage Road at the junction with Raglan Road.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, along with the Astra driver but the nature of their injuries is not yet known.
Fire crews from Woolwich and Plumstead dealt with the incident along with a fire rescue unit from Lewisham.
They were called at around 2.30am yesterday morning (July 29) and left the scene by 3.38am.
