CHARITY supporters took part in a sponsored walk in a park on Saturday to raise cash for orphaned children in Zambia.
The five-mile walk took place at Lullingstone Country Park, Eynsford.
Sixteen people took part and raised £53 for charity Hands of Compassion, which is based in Shorne.
Organiser Jennifer Ellett said: "I was really pleased with how the day went.
"Each month we do a sponsored walk in different locations across north Kent.
"The money we raise helps to fund a community school for orphaned and vulnerable children based in Chipulukusu in Zambia, which was set up by the charity."
She added: "The money raised from this walk will go towards providing textbooks for the children."
The charity helped to set up the community school six years ago.
It now provides education to more than 500 children aged from six to 15.
