TWO weeks of fun and entertainment got under way on Saturday at the launch of Lark in the Park.
The annual free community event takes place at Sidcup Place in The Green, Sidcup.
This is the twelfth year churches in Sidcup and nearby areas have got together to provide free activities for children, teenagers and adults for 16 days at the start of the summer holidays.
The larks began with a family fun day with crafts including clay modelling, painting and badge-making.
There was also live music, inflatables, face painting, a children's puppet show, a youth zone, a penalty shoot-out competition and lots more.
This was the first of three Saturday fun days, held from 1pm to 4pm.
There are free activities and entertainments on offer every day and most evenings until August 10 for all age groups including the over-60s.
People can register for activities at the central information point for children's clubs and youth zones between noon and 3pm, or for evening events and adult craft workshops, from 3pm to 4.30pm on weekdays and 1pm to 4pm on Saturdays.
Or register online by visiting the Lark in the Park website at larkinthepark.com and selecting the Sidcup link.
