A SINGLE mother has received an Asbo after neighbours complained she needed "curbing".
Unemployed Samantha Martin, of Clarendon Green, St Paul's Cray, was taken to court by Bromley Council and Broomleigh Housing Association following complaints from neighbours about her anti-social behaviour.
The 23-year-old must comply with a string of conditions for two years or she could end up back in court on a criminal charge.
She must not intimidate neighbours with foul language and threats, loud music and noisy parties.
Cars must not block other people's driveways, groups of people cannot congregate outside and littering is banned.
The mother-of-one said: "It's a joke. I'm a single parent with a four-year-old, Harry.
"Out of the 10 houses here, only four complained.
"I have been here for four years. I have had no complaints until three months ago.
"The first I knew about it I got millions of bits of paper from the council. I was told to get a solicitor.
"We've been to court three or four times over it, contesting the conditions."
Kenneth Steel, whose house shares a wall with Ms Martin, says living next to her has been "sheer hell".
Her house is owned by Broomleigh and Mr Steel started complaining to them soon after Ms Martin moved in.
The 70-year-old said: "I have lived here for about 50 years.
"They have never had a complaint from me until now.
"The noise, the screaming never stops."
The retired shop manager said rubbish came through the fence from her garden into his, and fizzy drink was poured over his car to make it sticky, which prompted him to focus a video camera on his drive.
He says there have been no fights since the Asbo was imposed at Bromley Magistrates' Court on July 14, but the screaming and shouting in her house is still the same.
Another neighbour who lives opposite Ms Martin, Alvinia Holloway, 67, said: "I'm really pleased about the Asbo.
"She needed curbing. She is aggressive and anti-social.
"We don't know if this will work for two years."
