PUPILS reduced their carbon footprint as part of their environment day.
Staff and students at St Olaves Grammar School, Goddington Lane, Orpington, turned to walking, cycling and public transport to get to school.
Teachers helped their classes calculate how much they had reduced their carbon footprint by avoiding travelling in by car.
In assembly they heard a talk by David Robinson who wrote Change The World For A Fiver, describing cheap ways to save the environment.
Professional cyclist Rich Johnson came in to show the boys stunts and tricks as well as teaching them about road safety.
Pupils came in wearing their own clothes after donating £1 to the school environment club.
Assistant headteacher Sarah Arthur said: "The day was important in raising awareness about environmental issues facing young people today."
