Photos show a van fire that grounded the M25 in Bromley to a halt.
On Friday (February 9) at around 5:17pm National Highways said that the M25 in the Bromley area was closed due to a van fire.
The fire happened somewhere between J4 and J5 of the M25 in the Bromley area.
The M25 was closed between these points with diversions in place.
Large clouds of smoke could be seen billowing on the M25, with traffic at a standstill because of the closure.
The closure was in place for an hour and 40 minutes and the area was reopened at 6:56pm.
It is not currently known if there were any injuries.
We have contacted London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service for further information.
