PARENTS went to town organising a fun day for families and youngsters. The day was organised by the Marian Vian Primary School Parent Teacher Association's fund and attracted 800 people to Shirley Crescent, Elmers End, Beckenham.
Many people donated prizes to a charity auction, including bikes, restaurant trips, tickets for the London Eye and London Dungeon and various other gifts from businesses in the area.
Birds of prey were on show and there were displays by gymnasts, cheerleaders and dancers.

Refreshments were on offer as well as haircuts and temporary tattoos.
The day raised £8,000 which will go towards buying new school equipment.
Sian Henderson, chairman of the PTA, said: "The rain miraculously held off and we had an amazing day.
"The money raised was fantastic and we had loads of fun."
