A police investigation is underway after a man was found dead on a quiet road in Blackheath.
The discovery was made by police in Corelli Road at around 8.15am yesterday (February 6).
An ambulance crew and a medic in a fast-response car from the London Ambulance Service also attended.
While a formal identification is yet to take place, the death is being treated as unexpected and is under investigation.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (February 7) there are no further updates on the incident.
The full statement from Metropolitan Police says: “Police were called at about 08:15hrs on Tuesday, 6 February to reports of man found deceased on Corelli Road, SE3.
“Officers remain in attendance. Formal identification has not taken place.
“The death is currently being treated as unexpected and is under investigation.”
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called yesterday (6 February) at 8:09am to reports of an incident on Corelli Road, Blackheath.
“We sent resources including an ambulance crew and a medic in a fast-response car.
“Sadly, a man was found dead at the scene.”
