London Ambulance Service has issued a statement after a man was found dead in Blackheath.
The discovery was made by police in Corelli Road at around 8.15am today (February 6).
An ambulance crew and a medic in a fast-response car from the London Ambulance Service also attended.
Police officers currently remain at the scene while the incident is being dealt with.
While a formal identification is yet to take place, the death is being treated as unexpected and is under investigation.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called today (6 February) at 8:09am to reports of an incident on Corelli Road, Blackheath.
“We sent resources including an ambulance crew and a medic in a fast-response car.
“Sadly, a man was found dead at the scene.”
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at about 08:15hrs on Tuesday, 6 February to reports of man found deceased on Corelli Road, SE3.
“Officers remain in attendance. Formal identification has not taken place.
“The death is currently being treated as unexpected and is under investigation.”
