A man is fighting for his life after a crash in Plumstead.
Emergency services were called to Plumstead Common Road shortly after 8am on Thursday (February 1).
Police said that a man was found injured at the scene and taken to hospital.
Today (Saturday, February 3), police have confirmed that the man remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Enquiries are ongoing.
On Thursday, the area was cordoned off a buses 51, 53, 386 and 658 were on diversion.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called shortly after 08:00hrs on Thursday, 1 February to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian on Plumstead Common Road, SE18.
"Emergency services attended.
"A man has been taken to hospital for treatment. We await an update on his condition.
"Enquiries continue."
