A CHARITY shop is appealing to the public to make donations to help raise funds.
Age Concern in Orpington High Street is urgently requesting people give clothes, books and household items.
Even items which the store is unable to sell can be of benefit as they can be sold to the rag trade.
The shop warns residents to donate possessions to bona fide charities as there are some fraudsters who take advantage of people's generosity.
Shop manager, Amanda Childs said: "We are appealing urgently for all types of stock to satisfy increasing demand.
"The increase in food, fuel and heating costs affects those on increasingly tight budgets in our community."
The funds raised pay for a range of services including after-care when people come out of hospital and advice on many subjects such as wills.
Volunteers are also welcome. For more information visit the shop or call 01689 828147.
