A new Superloop route will be introduced between Bromley and Croydon today (February 3).

As outlined by TfL, the Superloop constitutes a "system of express bus routes with limited stops, encircling the entire capital."

Establishing the ten express routes aims to benefit outer London regions while providing "additional alternatives to private vehicle usage."

The buses operating on the Superloop are anticipated to enhance customer experience by offering improved information, USB charging facilities, and priority seating with moquette.

The entire Superloop route is scheduled to be fully operational by Spring 2024.

Route SL5 is being introduced today (February 3) and will run as an express bus service between Bromley North Station and Croydon Town Centre via Bromley Town Centre, South Eden Park Road, Bethlem Royal Hospital, Shirley and East Croydon station.

Route SL5 will run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturday and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.

• First buses will be timed to depart Bromley North Station at 0500 on all days of the week.

• First buses will be timed to depart Croydon Town Centre at 0500 on all days of the week.

• Last buses will be timed to depart Bromley North Station at 0030 on all days of the week.

• Last buses will be timed to depart Croydon Town Centre at 0030 on all days of the week.

Route SL5 will call at the following bus stops towards Bromley North Station

• Bus Stop KM named Croydon Library located on St George's Walk

• Bus Stop E1 outside East Croydon Station

• Bus Stop C at Shirley Library

• Bus Stop T named Wickham Road / Monks Orchard located on Wickham Road

• The Unlettered Bus Stop eastbound on Monks Orchard Road named The Bethlem Royal Hospital

• Bus Stop H named Upper Elmers End Road located on the South Eden Park Road

• Bus Stop LJ named The Chinese Garage on South Eden Park Road

• Bus Stop E named Westmoreland Road / Barnfield Wood Road located on Westmoreland Road

• Bus Stop B opposite Bromley South Station

• Bus Stop U named Elmfield Road / The Mall located on Elmfield Road in Bromley Town Centre

• Terminating at the alighting point along the side of Bromley North Station

Route SL5 will call at the following bus stops towards Croydon Town Centre:

Route SL5 will be run by Arriva London using single deck buses.
