THERE is no need for the children to be bored this summer thanks to a series of free family fun days on offer from a partnership of Thamesmead community groups.
The events will take place every Wednesday from now until August 27 - with activities for children and their parents.
While the youngsters have fun with a climbing wall, play dough, face painting, inflatables and games, parents and carers can get advice on a variety of matters including healthy eating and take part in ideal career workshops.
The events take place in Birchmere Park, Eastern Way, Thamesmead, on July 30, August 13 and August 27.
Events will also be held at Crossways Park, off Binsey Walk, Thamesmead, on August 6 and August 20. They all run from 11am until 3pm.
There will also be a barbecue at each event from noon until 2pm, provided by Trust Thamesmead.
