THIS year's president of the Inner Wheel Club of Bromley, Rosemary Ayling, has adopted Marie Curie Cancer Care as her charity for the year ahead and as an appropriate start decided the members of the club together with their friends would celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Marie Curie Cancer Care by holding "A blooming great tea party" to raise much needed funds.
On July 2 twenty five ladies arrived at a member's lovely home in the Kent countryside to enjoy a tea party not to be forgotten with cakes, sandwiches and copious amounts of tea.
During the afternoon a book sale was held and there was also a selection of raffle prizes to be won.
At the end of a lovely afternoon the president, Rosemary, thanked everyone for their generosity and donations which resulted in about £300 being raised.
