A VIGILANTE gang stabbed a father-of-six to death in his living room, a court heard.
Steven Fitzgerald, aged 26, of Mapleton Close, Bromley, is accused of being part of the gang which killed Julian Warrington on September 3 last year.
The 43-year-old was left dying in a pool of blood in his Camberwell home after the attack, the Old Bailey heard.
One of the accused, 19-year-old Alan Ellis, from Camberwell, had been assaulted in his home earlier the same day Fitzgerald, Ellis and five other men are accused of seeking revenge, but prosecutor Jonathan Turner told the court Mr Warrington might not have been the attacker.
Fitzgerald and Ellis are on trial alongside Fitzgerald's brother John, aged 28, from Brixton, Jermaine Morris, aged 26, from West Norwood, Paul Hudson, aged 23, from Kennington and Thomas Ireton, aged 20, from West Norwood.
They all deny murder.
Declan Fitzgerald, aged 23, from Battersea, has pleaded guilty to murder and will be sentenced at the end of the trial.
The trial continues.
