PUPILS have enjoyed getting sporty at an Olympics-themed week.
Every pupil at Downderry Primary School, Downderry Road, Downham, took part in the daily activities.
On the first day the children made an Olympic torch for a competition.
This was followed by a fun run which raised more than £400 for the school's steel band.
Youngsters also had the chance to enjoy sporting activities not usually on offer at the school, such as trampolining, cricket and gymnastics.
On the last day the pupils took part in an international food festival.
Medals were also handed out and a closing ceremony was held.
The school's ethnic minority achievement teacher Lynne Hunt said: "It was a fantastic week. The Olympics are so near and this made the children aware of the ethos of the Games.
"It brought the whole school together."
