A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was shot in Plaistow.
Police were called to East Road on Monday (January 22) shortly before midnight after reports of a shooting.
A 25-year-old man was rushed to hospital with a gunshot injury, where he still remains.
His condition has been described as “not life-threatening”.
Omar Lynch 39, of Elmers End Road, Elmers End, has subsequently been charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.
He is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court today (January 26).
